Steroids**
I’m ready to move on from the steroid issue in baseball and I have a solution. From this point forward anyone who has played baseball in the “Steroid Era” shall have an asterisk next to their name. Anyone who USED steroids should have at least two asterisks.. or a cross next to their names.
the single asterisk is actually a good thing because it will mean you were better because you played AGAINST steroid users. While anything besides the single asterisk means you did steroids and therefore hand an upper hand against the real athletes.

Funny, I like that. It could work.
But the problem is, I don’t trust any of them (all baseball players). I think the single asterisk should mean that, “you played in the steroid era, so you probably used steroids too, we just can’t find any evidence that you didn’t (yes, as opposed to did) use steroids.”
There’s probably more baseball players that used steroids than there are baseball players. I know that sounds ridiculous, but the whole thing is exactly that…ridiculous.

Baseball goes through many different eras, how about dead ball era? Or the juiced ball era? Or the spit ball era?
I don’t see how you can punish thoughs not know to have used. Hell A-Rod’s name was not even supposed to be out there, but due to someone breaking the law it now is.
How many players use HGH now knowing that there is no testing for it?
I love baseball, always have and always will. No matter what happens I will still watch the Yankees, hate the Red Sox and watch just about any game during the season when it is on TV. Maybe I am just a sucker?

In the U.S., anabolic steroids are currently listed as Schedule III controlled substances under the Controlled Substances Act, which makes the possession of such substances without a prescription a federal crime punishable by up to seven years in prison.
They were all using it illegally. So they were all breaking the law.
